Hello Applicant,
Gamma Pi Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority. Inc., is celebrating 61years of service in the Greater Milwaukee Metropolitan area this year. We continue our commitment and dedication of our sisterhood to a beacon of light to the communities in which we live and work. We have been providing scholarships to deserving high school seniors for over 28 years.
Each year the Sigma Legacy Fund of Gamma Pi Sigma Alumnae Chapter, awards scholarships for graduating high school seniors. We also support our youth affiliate Rhoer Club by awarding a scholarship to a graduating senior member through the LaWana Scott Scholarship fund.
We are proud to announce that the 2025 Sigma Legacy Fund Scholarship application process will soon open to applicants. The deadline to apply is TBA. All applications and supporting documentation must be received by the deadline!
All student who meet the qualifications as well as first-generation college students are encouraged to apply.

The Sigma Legacy Fund Application Process
A committee reviews the entire application information considering grades, ACT/SAT scores, personal statements, letters of recommendation, and high school transcripts. A personal interview will also be conducted. Only candidacy applicants will be notified of an interview date and time.
Instructions: The application must be complete. All transcripts, letters of recommendations and other required documents must be submitted by the deadline as described below. Typewritten personal statements are required. PLEASE FOLLOW ALL DIRECTIONS.

Two letters of recommendation signed but not dated prior to January 1, 2024. These letters are to be obtained from individuals who can endorse your application and comment on your academic performance, academic promise, and your character. Recommendations may be obtained from your high school principal, guidance counselor, teacher, and minister or community service representative. At least one recommendation must be from a school staff member. ALL letters of recommendations MUST be on company letterhead.

An Official High School Transcript. It should indicate class rank and class size and ACT or SAT test scores. If ACT/SAT scores are not on the transcript, please provide a separate copy of scores.

Scholarship Criteria

Must be a high school senior

Must have at least a 2.5 GPA/Cumulative grade point

Must be a Wisconsin resident and US Citizen

Have the intent of being enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited institution of higher learning by the fall of 2024
